See Eric in action : The Principles of a Lean Startup at the Commonwealth Club

You probably already have your copy of The Lean Startup book. (You may have already finished it.)

But there’s nothing like hearing the whole deal direct from the source. That’s why you should grab a ticket ($20) and hear Eric Ries speak at The Commonwealth Club on Tuesday, Sep. 27th at 6:30pm.

Eric’s a fun, engaging speaker with an important message. A message that can change how you start, manage and operate your business. Whether or not you consider yourself a startup, you should hear what he’s got to say.

While you’re there, come say “Hi” to us! Jason, Tobi and I will be there with bells on. See you there!

LUXr welcomes Kate Rutter as Cofounder and Principal

My long-time friend and colleague, Kate Rutter has one of the shiniest brains in Silicon Valley. Long ago, I recruited Kate into Adaptive Path, because she was one of the most productively smart and creative people I had ever met. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Kate has joined LUXr as cofounder, where she will help make LUXr experiences available to entrepreneurs around the world.

Kate has been involved in the Web since the early days. She was at a startup for the full arc of the Web 1.0 Bubble and is a vocal advocate for bringing great user experiences into the design of each and every product. She is driven to make things and to foment creativity in people and organizations.

Part of Kate’s role at LUXr will be developing new programs and products that will make Lean UX practices available to startup teams that can’t participate in the 10-week Residency. We believe that startups wisdom must not remain locked in Silicon Valley. Product teams everywhere, and at every price point, need Lean UX coaching and information. Kate’s background in product design, business management and collaborative methods enables us to explore and develop products to meet these needs.

So join us in welcoming Kate, and be sure to sign up to stay in the loop about the Lean UX Bundle as it evolves.
