I loved the recent New York Times article on how young folk are expressing their social participation through entrepreneurship. Although I think the moniker “Generation Sell” is cheesy, this quote makes me cheer:
“Today’s ideal social form is not the commune or the movement or even the individual creator as such; it’s the small business. Every artistic or moral aspiration — music, food, good works, what have you — is expressed in those terms.”
- William Deresiewicz
This is the kind of trajectory we’re seeing at LUXr: designers and developers looking to express their aspirations through a startup. Awesome. It’s gonna be an exciting road.
